Colorado Springs Citizens! Let’s rally to tell our elected officials that disability rights are human rights! We will deliver paper plates to our elected officials that emphasize the importance of benefits like SNAP that help individuals, including those with disabilities and their families, stay in the community! Here’s how to participate:
1) Contact us at (719) 471-4800 to request your paper plates and materials, and we will deliver them to you.
2) Write your message on the paper plate about why benefits like SNAP are important for those with disabilities. Encourage our elected officials to vote in favor of legislation that improves the lives of those with disabilities. We will bring these paper plates to the rally and deliver them to elected officials.
3) Join us on Wednesday, August 29, from 11:30 am – 1 pm, at Colorado Springs City Hall (107 N. Nevada Ave., 80903) for the rally!
