Reality – Defined as the total of all that is real or existent within a system, as opposed to that which is only imaginary. When you donate to The Arc Pikes Peak Region through the Give Campaign, a local year-end giving campaign, you help to create an INCLUSIVE REALITY for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

Too often, people with disabilities like cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, and others, face a reality that is not inclusive, with only 29% of working-age Americans (aged 16 to 64) with disabilities who enjoy meaningful employment, versus 75% of Americans without disabilities. And, with one in four American adults having a disability, the need for an inclusive culture is great. People with disabilities are YOUR friend, sister, brother, child, co-worker, parent, acquaintance.

The Arc Pikes Peak Region’s mission is to promote and protect the human rights of people with I/DD, fulfilling our vision of creating a community that is inclusive and welcoming to people of all abilities. Through our newly-renovated inclusive personal development center, Building for Change, we’re equipping people with I/DD and their families and caregivers, professionals, and the community, to embrace a reality that is inclusive of people of all abilities. Inclusivity means teaching life skills, creating real opportunities for relationships to flourish, creating and nurturing job opportunities, educating the community, and more!

Will you partner with The Arc PPR in creating an inclusive reality for people with I/DD? Even a gift of $10 makes a positive impact. You can donate through 12/31/21 at www.indygive.com/arc!
